Project Description
Pioneer Point is a new development set become the east of London’s architectural icon. Two towers of 33 and 25 stories, of exceptional residential apartments and duplexes with spectacular views to the City, Canary Wharf and the Capital’s Olympic Stadium for 2012.
Able Data installed an IRS, providing TV and Satellite signals to all apartments. Each apartment also has its own data Cat5e cabling network, for connecting telephones, other applications and computer networking, with all outlets running back to a wall mounted RJ45 patch panel.
The hardest design challenge was to drive good TV/Satellite signals from the top to the bottom of the towers, using only standard size CT100 style cables. This was achieved by using high performance Fracarro multiswitches and employing line amplifiers to boost the signals mid-way down the towers.
Able Data also installed a telephone backbone.
