Project Description
This was a prestige project to create two independent Data Centres for the bank. Each Data Centre included a massive 110 patching frame.
Phase 1 (SBRC) involved the installation of 12,000 SCS sockets. The project was awarded in January of 2001 and installation commenced immediately. The project was completed on schedule at the end of March 2001.
Phase 2 (Capstan House) involved the installation of 18,000 SCS sockets and 3,000 fibre connections. The project commenced in July 2001 and was completed in eight weeks, using four engineering teams to do round the clock working.
This successful implementation led to Able Data being asked to install a further 2000 outlets in December of 2001.
