Able Data achieves ISO 14001 accreditation
Able Data has recently obtained the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. This underlines Able Data’s commitment to protecting the environment, both in running its business and whilst on site.
The process of achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 has provided an Able Data with an excellent opportunity to focus on how its environmental impact and methods of reducing it. A key area that was identified was the significant environmental benefit of using cable pre-termination. By assembling & testing cable looms in factory conditions before taking them to site, transport costs are reduced, product packaging can be properly re-cycled and product waste (such as copper cable) can be both reduced and recycled.
Able Data has been offering pre-terminated installations for several years, but as part of reducing environmental impact, will seek to use this method on a broader range of sites.
ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that assists organisations to run an effective Environmental Management System.
