Freesat is now available on any Able Data installed or support TV/Sat distribution system. Freesat is free-to-air digital satellite service, set up as a joint venture between the BBC and ITV. It offers over 130 digital TV and radio channels, including subscription free HD channels such as BBC HD and ITV HD. For more information see www.freesat.co.uk
To receive freesat simply purchase a freesat set top box from any of a range of highstreet electrical stores. Prices start at around £50 for a standard definition set top box and £120 for an HD set top box. Alternatively, some TV's (Panasonic do a range) come with built in freesat receivers. Thereafter, there are no charges.
