Structured Cabling Housekeeping

Able Data provides infrastructure support services, where a cabling engineer visits site on a regular basis to perform house keeping duties. The service ensures that the building infrastructure is always maintained to a professional standard reducing faults and the time to implement moves & changes.

Typical house keeping activities will include:

• Tidy of patch frames & desk cabling
• Trouble shooting infrastructure fault reports
• Un-patching and retrieval of unused network ports
• Update/checking of infrastructure documentation
• General tidy of the computer rooms and patch cords

Where the cabling infrastructure has been left unmanaged for a long period, it is not unusual to get to a state where the patch frames are almost un-maintainable and every new patch can cause trouble. Able Data will be delighted to quote for a one-off tidy up, restoring the patching to a tidy and maintainable state.

Moves & Changes

Able Data offers a range of Moves & Changes services, from simple patching to an entire computer equipment planning and moves service. After more than fifteen years demanding experience of moving trading floors, Able Data will guarantee 100% serviceability on ‘Monday morning’.

The service will be customised to the client requirements and may include any combination of the following:

• Moves of from 1 to 200 users
• Moves at weekends or overnight
• Offices and/or Data Centres covered
• Patching (including Intelligent Patching Systems)

TV/Satellite System Maintenance

Able Data maintain and repair TV/Satellite reception systems so they continue to provide high quality signals throughout the building. Whether affecting an entire site or just one user, Able Data will repair it.

Cover includes:

• Support of TV distribution system from the aerials & dishes on the roof through to the tenant/user outlets.
• Next working day call out (other services are available)
